Students took the MAP test, discussed good beginnings, and have started writing their expositions in class. The deadline for dystopian stories has been extended to the second session of next week. Rising action, climax, and resolution will be discussed next week and they will be given time to continue writing their stories in class.
Gr. 8 took the MAP test and started working on the Political Party Project. The note cards have been posted in Google Classroom and the students complete them in groups. Students should take note of the following dates:

Students finished their videos and watched them in class. Next week, they will work on Energy – potential and kinetic – and transformation of energy. They will relate this to the Earth Column and there will be an assessment on this in the form of CER. They have to answer the question of how they can apply their understanding of the origins of the earth to their E-column.
Gr. 8 worked on combining like terms. Next week will be on the distributive property and solving equations. Assessment will be after the spring break.
